Assessment and Reporting

Assessment is ongoing and teachers keep up to date assessments on each child. All samples of work are signed and dated.

Teachers are expected to meet with parents of all children with special needs each term. The aim of these meetings is to develop and review individual goals and individual learning plans.

Parents may request an interview  if they have concerns regarding their child’s progress. Teachers may request interviews with parents if they have concerns regarding a child’s progress or behaviour.

In Years 1-6, a written report will be sent home at the end of Terms Two and Four. Parent/Teacher interviews are held midyear to discuss the written report with the class teacher.

In Kindergarten, there is a Parent/ Teacher interview in June and a written report is sent home in December.
